Theresa Dunn works to resolve cases amicably for the long-term financial and emotional benefit of both participants.
Theresa started her career as a family law litigator with The Law Firm of Dennis A. Lacerte in 2006. Her trial experience includes high-conflict domestic relations disputes regarding the allocation of parental responsibilities (child custody), divorce and post-decree issues, maintenance (spousal support), asset and debt division, and consumer bankruptcy law. These contested cases are expensive and stressful for the whole family. However, families can choose to resolve their differences via mediation instead.
In 2018, Theresa’s passion for mediation led her to open her own mediation firm focusing exclusively on alternative dispute resolution. In addition to being a certified professional mediator, Theresa has the necessary empathy, patience and aptitude to resolve family conflicts without court intervention. She is dedicated to helping families find long-term solutions while avoiding costly litigation.
Theresa is a Colorado native. She attended George Washington High School, graduated from Vassar College in 2002, and received her J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2005. When not mediating, Theresa loves spending time with her husband and introducing their three young children to all the mountain adventures Colorado has to offer.
